Smith & Associates, Inc. began acquiring experience in
GPS surveying in the late 1980's, began working with GIS software
in 2000, and quickly began combining the two technologies
thereafter.
We
are currently using ArcGIS to manage multiple projects where
survey data is overlaid with project specific geospatial data.
We migrate GPS data as needed between a variety of database
formats including GIS software formats, and CAD formats.
L.I.
Smith & Associates, Inc. has produced a multitude of project
deliverable files which provide for each structure located,
the unique ID, the X, Y, & Z coordinates, and any comments
for that structure. We provide deliverable files to clients
in multiple formats such as ArcGIS shapefiles / geodatabase
format, Excel XLS, and numerous other database formats.
