adjustments affecting a bill's assessed value, exemption amount,
taxable value, and balance due. The audit trail is stored on a by
year basis. Payments posted are distributed into base tax, penalty,
interest, District distribution, according to how the payment is
posted. STAR is designed to allow the user to post payments
according to their needs. Have your office procedure dictate the
software process rather than the software dictate your office procedure.

Entry
The
quick posting options within STAR handles counter traffic,
mail, and large checks with ease and speed. The quick posting feature
offers the user the ability of not leaving the keyboard for quick
entry and fast processing of Ad Valorem taxes.

Additional
bill creation and bill modification can be accomplished in real
time. This ability allows the office to collect the correct amount
of taxes due at the time the customer is in the office. Full reporting
for this process is available at anytime.
Reporting

concise reports allow the distribution and balancing of collections
to be easily understood. The system provides daily, monthly, and
yearly reporting. Along with collections reports, STAR contains
reports for research and reporting of data entry.
Mortgage
Company Payments
Mortgage company processing is flexible and easy to follow in STAR.
You may produce information manually or electronically to send to
mortgage companies in regard to accounts to be paid. The system
accepts both manual and electronic information for posting payments.
