2025 ACEC GRAND AWARD WINNER
L.I. Smith & Associates was awarded the ACEC Grand Award Winner for their work on the new I-55 Crump Boulevard Interchange.
2019 ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE GRAND AWARD
LIS was selected by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) as the 2019 Engineering Excellence Grand Award winner for the surveying and mapping technology category. The award recognized our BNA Terminal Planning project, in which we teamed up with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) to update their master plan.
The project provided a georeferenced point cloud model of the interior and exterior of the terminal complex. By doing so, MNAA now has an accurate building information model of the entire airport that shows the current conditions of all previously completed projects at the airport. MNAA currently uses this model on all new designs.
