Craig Pearson Celebrates 5 Years at LIS

In June 2021, Craig Pearson reached five years of service with L.I. Smith & Associates (LIS). Pearson joined LIS in 2016 as a technology coordinator and was later promoted to operations manager and Nashville branch manager.

Pearson has over 20 years of industry experience, having begun his career as a rodman while still in high school. He later served as a crew chief for several years before becoming a technician and ultimately joining LIS. His background in land surveying and geometrics, along with his drafting experience, make him a great asset to the LIS team.

“It has been my pleasure to work with Craig. His technical knowledge and leadership are great assets for the company, but his greatest trait is the way he genuinely cares for the employees,” commented LIS Vice President Chris Conrad.

Pearson is a Level 3 Survey Technician, certified with the National Society of Professional Surveyors, and holds a Federal Aviation (FAA) license as an Unmanned Aircraft (Drone) Pilot. He specializes in the use of software programs such as TBC, LiDAR, Recap, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Infraworks. In addition, he is skilled in managing multiple field crew surveys and leading complex survey projects.

Pearson completed certificate programs in Technical Drafting AutoCAD (2010) and Land Surveying and Geometrics (2011) at Austin Community College.
